DGA Graduate William E. Bailey New Testimonial

William E. Bailey had this to say about his experience participating in the joint program between the law school and DGA:

"Rutgers University – Division of Global Affairs furthered my breadth of knowledge, comprehension of global issues, and analytical problem-solving skills that are required to be a professional leader in the era of globalization. The Masters of Science program exposed me to rich and nuanced ways of understanding from across disciplines. My global governance focus complemented my law studies by bringing the black letter law of international relations into focus through case studies and classes involving the various legal apparatuses used to form the social architecture of nations.

As a direct result of my master’s degree studies, I was able to sharpen my legal prowess in the world of military law with the United States Army JAG Corps. Further, the Masters’ program gave me the knowledge base to successfully pass the Foreign Service Officers Test (FSOT) as well as a selection into the State Department’s Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) eInternship where I will provide needed research on issues of diplomacy.

The joint JD/MS in Global Affairs is a program that is an absolute must for the future lawyers of the 21st century. Not only do I feel practice ready on day one, but I feel comfortable solving international relations issues, international law problems, and domestic challenges alike. My employers will rest assured that the Rutgers Graduate School – Division of Global Affairs sharpened the skills needed in the era of ever-increasing global connectedness."
